2026 Judge Stephanie K. Seymour Lecture

The Northern/Eastern Chapter of the Federal Bar Association was honored to host United States Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor in Tulsa for the second Judge Stephanie K. Seymour Lecture.

Justice Sotomayor participated in a fireside chat with the Honorable Sara E. Hill. Justice Sotomayor shared reflections from her time in the federal judiciary, her life, and the importance of civics education for all generations. Justice Sotomayor also shared about her friendship with Judge Seymour, describing Judge Seymour’s trailblazing path through the judiciary.

During her day in Tulsa, Justice Sotomayor participated in events at the University of Tulsa with students from all three of Oklahoma’s law schools. She also engaged in conversations with students from the Cherokee Nation as well as members of the Cherokee Nation reentry program.
